Drive the bus (30% remaining) - SOLD

Drive the bus

Drive the Bus is a real character and favourite at Boherna, one of his many party pieces being the ability to open his stable door ! As a huge horse he can at times be a challenge to train as the last couple of seasons he has picked up and recovered from a couple of niggly injuries. Also, Denis says the Drive The Bus owners get the best training deal in Ireland as he eats twice as much as most of the horses in the yard. Unfortunately, what goes on must come off again and he can take a few runs to get fully match fit. However that works nicely for a Syndicate horse as it means lots of days at the races for the owners !

While his form has a slightly inconsistent look the key to the Bus is his beloved Yielding ground on which he will really put it in, he won’t let himself down on Good ground and he is too big to get through Heavy ground. He won a Beginners Chase at Wexford and became badly handicapped over Fences but the handicapper has relented and he is not far off a mark he can be competitive off. He is definitely a better Chaser than Hurdler and while that is reflected in the respective handicap marks if he stayed fit you would be hopeful of picking up a hurdle and a chase this summer. Given the crazy 100K plus prices payed for unproven Point to Point / Bumper horses at the sales the Bus could be a real bargain with two of his scheduled stops being the Killarney and Listowel Festivals. The Bus has thrived over the winter and is currently back in light training and is scheduled to be back on the course towards the end of May.
